my daughter likes our “new” home better than the ‘old’ one

Before working with Alice to renovate and design our home, I was overwhelmed by the number of projects that we wanted to accomplish in order to update our 1970's home. Besides our bedrooms and master bath, there was something we wanted to tweak in every room from floor to ceiling. I knew I had to hire Alice after our first phone conversation. There was something she said that struck a chord, about how it saddens her that people will wait to renovate their homes when they decide to sell it, instead of doing so while they are living in to enjoy. My family loves the updates to our home, particularly my daughter who likes our "new" home better than the 'old' one. Without adding any square footage and even with closing a room back up, the updates made our home feel more open and airy. My advice is to hire Alice as your interior designer / project manager. She is a  great communicator with keeping you updated on project status and really just knows how to squeeze a lot of work within a reasonable amount of time.

my house seems like a brand new house

My home was in need for a remodel for some time -- what started out as switching from carpet to the existing hardwood floors morphed into a well-needed top-to-bottom remodel of the house, from the roof to the flooring, with completely redesigned and remodeled bathrooms and kitchen, paint inside and out, flooring, new roof, and new fixtures and furniture it all rooms.  I was very happy to find Alice to help me get this now large job completed successfully.  Right after we started the remodel, I had an illness in the family which took much of my time, and Alice and her team stepped in and did all the heavy lifting -- they made great suggestions of several design choices for each room and remodeling task, and made picking the right choice easy.  If something needed to be changed, they changed it.  If problems cropped up, they fixed it, pronto.  They were patient with me as my schedule changed around unexpectedly due to family illness, and worked around it to make sure things got done.  One sign of the quality of Alice and her team's work was the individual contractors for each task from flooring to painting to construction to electric to roofing, all took pride in their work and had a fine attention to detail that made sure that nothing got missed.  I am really happy with the final result, and my house seems like a brand new house that I have been thrilled with since I moved back in.
